Sign PDF Online with Your Own Signature
Draw, type, or photograph your signature, download it as a transparent PNG, and place it on any page of a PDF. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Processed in your browser1. Create your signature
2. Place it on a PDF (optional)
Drag the signature into place, or tap the page to move it there.
This adds an image of your signature (a simple electronic signature, not a certified one). Documents that require a certified or qualified e-signature need a certified provider. Existing digital signatures in a PDF can become invalid once the file is changed.

Chat on WhatsAppThis free tool lets you sign a PDF online in two steps. First, create your signature: draw it on screen, type your name, or photograph a signature you wrote on paper. Then download it as a transparent PNG, or place it straight onto a PDF such as a declaration, an application form, or an offer letter. It works as a signature generator and a PDF signer in one page, and everything happens inside your browser tab, so neither the signature nor the document is sent to a Dokurapi server.
Three ways to create an electronic signature
- Draw. Sign inside the white box with a finger, stylus, or mouse. A guide line near the bottom keeps the signature level. Line width and ink colour (black or blue) can be changed at any time.
- Type. Enter your name and pick a script, brush, or italic style. The lettering uses fonts already on your device, so it can look slightly different on a phone and a laptop.
- Photo. Sign plain white paper with a dark pen, photograph it from above in even light, and choose the photo. The tool measures how bright the paper is, recolours the ink, and makes the paper transparent.
Every result is cropped tightly around the signature. The download button saves a PNG with a transparent background that you can drop into Word, Google Docs, or a design app without a white box behind it.
Placing your signature on a PDF
Choose a PDF in step 2. The last page opens first and is already ticked, because that is where a signature usually goes. Drag the signature into place, or tap the page to move it there, then set its size with the slider. To initial every page, press All pages. The signature is placed at the same position on every ticked page.
Pages are not turned into images. The signature is added on top of each page, so the original text stays selectable and searchable and the file grows only a little. The result downloads with a -signed.pdf suffix and your original file is not changed. Need to combine documents first? Use merge PDF. Still have photos? Convert them with photo to PDF. Too large for an upload form afterwards? Shrink it with compress PDF.
Is an image signature legally valid?
Many legal systems accept electronic signatures for everyday paperwork. In the United States, for example, 15 U.S. Code 7001 (the ESIGN Act) says a signature may not be denied legal effect solely because it is in electronic form. Rules still differ by country and by document type, and some documents require a certified digital signature issued through a certificate authority, such as a qualified signature in the EU or a Digital Signature Certificate in India.
This tool creates a simple image signature with no certificate behind it. Use it where a scanned or pasted signature is accepted, such as forms, letters, and declarations. For high-value contracts or filings that demand a certified signature, use a certified provider, and when in doubt, ask whoever requested the document.
Tips for a clean signature
- Draw the signature large, then scale it down on the PDF. The strokes look smoother that way.
- Blue ink helps readers tell a signature apart from printed text, but follow any instruction you were given.
- For photos, avoid the shadow of your hand or phone and keep other marks away from the signature.
- After downloading, open the PDF and check the signature on every page before you send it.
Keeping your signature private
A signature is personal data. This tool has no upload endpoint, stores nothing, and needs no account. When you close the tab, the signature image in browser memory is gone. Keep your PNG somewhere safe and remove it from the downloads folder on a shared computer. Need a QR code for the same document? Make one with the QR code generator. More detail is in the privacy policy.
